The OvoSelect D Series consists of modular egg grading machines built on the universal grading principle, adapting to different capacity needs. Eggs travel horizontally on rollers; after precise weighing, they are directed to the appropriate outlet stations by the horizontal transport system.

The D Series offers flexible solutions by operation size. In lower-capacity applications eggs can be collected manually, while in high-capacity facilities it integrates with OvoPacker automatic setting systems for a fully automatic packing process.

Thanks to the horizontal grading architecture there is no high-ceiling requirement — a real advantage in height-restricted facilities — though the horizontal layout does need more floor space.

One of the D Series' biggest advantages is its ability to use a single-head industrial coding system. Since eggs travel in a single row, both Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) and Thermal Inkjet (TIJ) technologies are easily applied.
Because coding happens after grading, each weight class can carry its own code, date, brand or customer information — enabling smart, flexible product traceability.
